Edward’s Lorikeet

Lory is generally very violent and this is not a shy species, so they enjoy playing with people and do not need a lot of time to rest.

Although Edward’s Lorikeets resemble Forsten’s Lorikeets, the blue on their heads is less intense and their chests are yellow to orange-yellow instead of red giving Forsten’s their other common name, Red-breasted Lorikeets.

Lory also known as lorikeet, is widely distributed throughout Australia, Southeast Asia, Polynesia, Papua New Guinea and Timor Leste.

Lory with its appearance is very attractive and it is one of the few colorful species of parrots. Moreover, Lories are very cheerful birds, they like to play with people, toys, and anything else their beaks can gnaw on! Lorikeets are very active and love to perform a variety of movements, such as turning upside down on bars, arches and swings on bridges. Lories are high energy birds that require spacious cage space as well as plenty of play time outside the cage. Lory is generally very violent and this is not a shy species, so they enjoy playing with people and do not need a lot of time to rest.

Lories are animated parrots that need a lot of energy. Therefore, foods should provide enough energy for them, such as honey, bananas, mangoes, and other soft fruits. Owners can add more nuts available at Pet Me to supplement their nutritional needs.
