The Sun Conure is a baby member of the parrot family, and is also the most colorful parrot in the Conure group. It is his cute personality and vibrant colors that make Sun Conure a family favorite. Parrots have an average length of 30cm, including the long tail, weighing about 100-130g, usually 110g on average. The main colors of Sun Conure will be yellow, red orange with a bit of blue wings. In captivity with good conditions, Sun Conure parrots can live up to 20 – 30 years. Sun Conures reach maturity and can reproduce at 1 – 2 years of age, and will reach end of reproductive age at 9 or 10 years.
Sun Conure loves to play but can also be quite destructive if not watching them closely. Sun Conure is also quite noisy sometimes. However, they are definitely the right choice if you love a funny parrot.
Nutrition: Sun Conure eats a variety of sprouts, sprouts, seeds, nuts, fruits, vegetables and prepackaged bird food as well as some human food. Usually, the best diet is a combination of mixed food for parrots, supplemented with fruit and green food.
In addition to the main diet, parrots can be supplemented with apples, grapes, green vegetables, corn, beans, sweet potatoes, peanuts (of course, do not feed the parrot avocado).
