Monk Parakeets are very confident and friendly birds. They have a big soul in a small body, so they are known as one of the loyal birds to their owners. Gentle personality, calm gentleness and ability to speak very well should be chosen as a pretty good pet for young children.
They should be provided with a varied diet that includes fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy seeds such as flax, chia seeds, tree nuts, and a diet high in quality pellets.
